Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure Plans
Facilities that store petroleum products and hazardous materials in storage tanks that exceed specified thresholds are required to develop and implement an Emergency Spill Response plan, a Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan, and/or Alaska's Prevention and Emergency Response Plan (PERP).
NORTECH can assist in determining if these plans are needed at your facility, provide guidance in developing a plan, and provide employee training as needed. We have assisted small and large companies prepare comprehensive spill and facility response plans that comply with international, federal, and state requirements.
Besides developing SPCC plans, NORTECH can help you keep your plan “current”. The following specific requirements of the
plan must be followed:
Conducting a review and evaluation of the plan at least once every three years
Training
Inspections
Record keeping
Keeping the inventory up-to-date
Updating the contact list as needed
Testing and maintenance
Incorporating any new equipment into the plan as necessary
