We support environmental and industrial hygiene projects across Alaska, including environmental site assessments and remediation, hazardous materials investigations, industrial hygiene, and regulatory coordination. Our work takes us to remote communities, urban redevelopment sites, industrial facilities, military installations, mining operations, and everything in between. About the Role
NORTECH is seeking an experienced and motivated Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to join our Fairbanks or Anchorage office.This position is designed for a seasoned professional ready to take responsible charge of IH projects, independently manage client relationships, and mentor the next generation of environmental and occupational health professionals on our team.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Leading IH field investigations, exposure monitoring programs, and data interpretation
Managing projects and client relationships independently with minimal oversight
Preparing and delivering written and oral reports to clients and regulatory agencies
Collaborating with A/E teams, contractors, owner-operators, and regulatory agencies
Contributing to business development and proposal efforts
Occasional overnight travel within Alaska
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Active Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential required
B.S. or M.S. in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational & Environmental Health, or a related discipline
8+ years of progressively responsible IH consulting experience
Demonstrated senior project management and responsible charge experience
Established client relationships in Anchorage or Fairbanks
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred Certifications/Skills
ADEC Qualified Sampler
HAZWOPER
AHERA certifications
EPA/HUD lead-based paint
CHST, OHST, or other relevant specialty credentials
