Bicknell Landfarm

NORTECH provides ongoing compliance oversight and environmental monitoring for the Bicknell Landfarm, a Class C Offsite Treatment Facility in Juneau. Since beginning operations in 2012, the Landfarm has received petroleum-contaminated soils from projects across Southeast Alaska, with the goal of treating materials to meet cleanup standards for safe, unrestricted disposal.

Since 2018, NORTECH has managed facility compliance through soil and groundwater sampling, treatment batch tracking, operational plan updates, and regulatory reporting. Our team also supported a 2022 expansion that increased the Landfarm’s storage capacity, ensuring the facility can continue to serve Southeast Alaska communities for years to come.

This project reflects NORTECH’s long-term commitment to environmental stewardship and practical remediation solutions that protect both public health and the surrounding landscape.
